The Cure

 As the days tick by

like the clock of our lives,

        we remember the strength

residing in our eyes,

                 we see through into the

truth of all our lies.

We are the answer

       to the questions

shaking up our minds.

We hold the key

          to everything that will

manifest.

We are the reality

      we wish to see,

we are the green leaves

   on the trees,

and we are the cure

              for this dis-ease.

Meow's The Time

In the middle of the garden,

the cat lay

sunbathing.

The plants stroked

the silky fur

and tickled

it's nose.

The day lazily

watched the clouds.

The birds spoke in song

between the splashes

in the tiny rock pond.

Whiskers twitched.

Bees searched for

pretty things

and the lavender loomed

above the grass patch

below.

Dandelions

happily spread their seeds

over the countryside.

This Fire

This Fire
Inspires me.
It heats up my mind.
I feel the burn
as the flames lick the corners

of my mind.
I see the glow of heat
In the reflection of your eyes
As the smoke rises
High up into the
Blackened sky.
The moon softly dances
With the stars
As the embers
Caress the Milky Way.

Be the Experience

The Cure For Boredom

Cracked lips on hot days
Beer cans pop in freezers.
Milk goes sour in hot cars.
The day is at it's zenith
And we're sure we've found the cure
The cure
For boredom;
Hopscotch on dry gravel roads
And watching people walk past
Holding hands and sharing glances.
The blue sky with her fluffy white clouds
Fade out of view
As the diamond encrusted
Black background
Folds in to take over the night.
Deep noises cover the cityscapes.
Booming nightclubs
And staggering drunk pedestrians
Falling hopelessly in love
With the hard, concrete pavements.
And as the cars fly by,
A homeless man dreams
Of big mansions
Made from cardboard and newspaper
And stumbles across a Kruger Rand.
And we think we have
A cure for boredom?

Quotation of How

I'm trying to ask questions
That make my answers seem right.
I'm trying to know the truth,
But all the lies seem so bright.
I'm grasping onto tragedies
To make death seem so final,
And in these painful escapades
I am faced with my own rival.
It's not the right time now
To change the tune of this song -

With a soft nudge I realise
I've been here all along.
I'm looking for a learning curve
To teach me in my plight
To find the reason for my life
So I can finally feel right
At home in my own skin.

There's nothing wrong with wanting perfection
In this day and age
All we get is rejection.
A breath of fresh air
Always comes with a price,
But take it,  don't leave it
It won't offer itself twice.
The subtlety of life's conquests
Makes me groom to look my best
So I can finally pass the test.

Angel Burns

Through the mist of all of this
We see the bliss we used to miss.
As angels weep at our dismay,
They pick us up
And guide the way.
And as the fire inside me burns,
The strongest feeling something yearns
To be let out amongst the clouds
Of true transformation
Without a doubt.
Inclined to see
The reaction behind
Me.
I guide them through
Their darkest night
And pull them through
Into the light.
We all need to
Depend on you
And you need to
Depend on me.
Interdependant
Everyone
And
Everything.

To a New Year!

Cotton candy clouds
Folding over our Mountain,
Splashing about
Like a bubbling brook
Engulfed in a cool mist,
Delivering droplets
Of promises
For the year to come.
She gives hope
To dispel the heat,
To give us peace
Inside our hearts,
That the path
We have chosen
Is exactly where
We're meant to be.
Silver Table Mountain's
Love.
