Ant’s life

The ant crawls across the floor,
Dust rises behind him.
He sneezes as he reaches the next floorboard
Dropping the piece of sugar he’d been carrying
For the last four hours.
Angry with himself,
He silently screams with frustration.
He circles this minute particle
Looking for a way to lift this huge block.
Eventually he pushes it onto his back
And resumes his long trek home to Antville.
A floorboard creaks under him
And as he looks up to see the cause,
Big foot ends his life with an instant squish.
